Learner & Parent Safety Guidelines
Ms.Tutor Academy
A safe place to learn
Ms.Tutor Academy is a women-led space for learning. Your tutors are women, and we want every learner and every parent to feel safe, comfortable and respected. Please read this page once before your first lesson.
Who learns here
Ms.Tutor Academy is for girls, women, and boys up to age 12. All of our tutors are women.
For parents
- For younger children, please stay nearby during lessons. Tutors welcome it.
- Create the account in your own name if your child is young, and keep the password private.
- Use the free 15-minute trial to see how the tutor teaches before you continue.
- Talk with your child about what to do if something feels uncomfortable, and tell them they can always stop a lesson.
Staying safe online
- Do not click links from people you do not know, even if the message looks friendly or official.
- Do not share your home address, school, phone number, passwords or banking details.
- Keep lessons and messages on Ms.Tutor Academy. If anyone asks you to chat or pay somewhere else, say no and tell us.
- Messages that claim to be from Ms.Tutor Academy, Meta, Google or a bank and ask you to act quickly are a warning sign. Do not reply. Send them to us.
What a good lesson looks like
- Your tutor is friendly, professional and stays on the subject.
- Your tutor does not ask for personal details, gifts or private contact information.
- You can end a lesson at any time if you feel uncomfortable.
If something feels wrong
If a message, a person or a lesson makes you or your child uncomfortable, you do not need proof, and you will never be in trouble for telling us.
- Stop. Do not reply, and leave the lesson if you need to.
- Tell a parent or a trusted adult if you are a child.
- Take a screenshot of the message, the name and the date, if you can.
- Report it to us using the details below.
- We will review it. We can deactivate an account, and we will let you know what we did.
How to report a concern
Email safety@mstutor.academy at any time, or use the private Safety page linked in the footer of mstutor.academy. Reports are read by us and are kept private.
Please include the name of the person, what happened, the date and time, and a screenshot if you have one.
